This would be the last walk of our week up here in the Lakes.
I chose an easy walk to end the week, walking up to Knott Rigg and Ard Crags from Newlands Hause. It was a bit of a cheat really as the car park at Newlands Hause is a 1000ft ASL already, but it was an out & back so that helped to make up for the loss of elevation.
Having said all that this was a steep little climb up to Knott Rigg followed by a lovely ridge walk through to Ard Crags with great views of surrounding fells and the heather in full flower on the southern flanks.
Great little walk which included Christine rebuilding the damaged cairn on Ard Crags.
2 Wainwrights completed - 13 in total.
Knott Rigg - 556 mts.
Ard Crags - 581 mts.
