Today we would be walking from the cottage in Ennerdale, our first fell was Grike, and with a considerable ammount of the conifer plantation now gone this should have been a good walk, except the cloud dropped as soon as we hit the fell side and it tipped down all the way to the summit. However within 5 minutes of arriving the clouds parted like something from a biblical scene and we were treated to fine views over towards the Loweswater fells. Next up after a short walk was Crag Fell, the sky was now clearing and a good day was ahead. Whoap and Lank Rigg completed the Wainwrights for the day followed by a delightful walk back beside Whoap Gill and the River Calder.
3 Wainwrights completed - 19 in total.
Grike - 488 mts.
Crag Fell - 523 mts.
Whoap - 511 mts. Non Wainwright
Lank Rigg - 541 mts.
