14th August 2008 -
Our walk started in the lovely Ullswater village of Glenridding, the weather was bright and clear but this was to change as we gained altitude. We headed south over Keldas and past Lanty's Tarn to pick up the path into Grisedale, enroute to Dollywaggon Pike (2815ft) via the zig zags. It was a long walk through Grisedale gradually gaining height until we reached Grisedale Tarn at 1700ft, This was the cloud base, by the time we reached the summit it was so murky you could'nt see 6ft in front, so it was a straight turnaround to head back the way we had come.
1 Wainwright completed. Total so far 6.
